Was browsing cigars international trying to pick up some boveda packs, but they are backordered on everything I want but the 65%.
I ran across this as an alternative. And quite honestly I think I like these better than the boveda packs. Simply fill with distilled water and that's it. The fit snugly in the corners. refill every 3-5 weeks. I think I read that the beads should last about a year.

I wanted to get the opinions of the brown leaf before I pulled the trigger.
Also while I'm at it...do you think Cigars International's brown bag sampler of cigars for $20 is worth it? Anyone ever order it?
here's the link for the black ice.

Just get this and be done with it. You'll end up with one anyway. https://www.heartfeltindustries.com/proddetail.asp?prod=HT_05_65

I have a pound of beads split between a humidor and a cooler. I went back through my gmail and found the receipt. I bought them in 2006 so you know they'll last.

I think I have about 4 lbs of this stuff spread across my wineador/humidors/coolidors/other overflow tupperware. hey derrick does yours yellow after time being in a humidor? Still working great, but for some reason they have a yellow tint to it now in my humidor and wineador.

So the heartfelt is just as simple? Add distilled water and that's it? Other than refilling when the humidity falls

Yeah the beads will turn white when they need recharged and clear when you wet them. I use a spray bottle to spritz the beads.

With the Heartfelt beads, make sure you don't over hydrate them to when there is water running out of them. They are treated with salts and if you overfill, and water seeps put, the salts leech away and drastically shortens the life of the beads. I found that out the hard way.
